I'm loving this delicious Tuna Caper Toast made with capers, dill and red onion! Bella Portofino Tuna is packed in quality EVOO with sea salt for a smooth, mellow flavor with great texture. I love how the flavors in this recipe came together. Bella Portofino Tuna sponsored an Instagram post and I had so much fun making this recipe that I wanted to share it with you here too! The ingredients in this recipe are very simple and come together for a really vibrant dish.
I started this dish by getting everything together on my new cutting board. I really like to see the ingredients whole before I make a dish. It must be the artist in me.
Tuna Caper Toast
I wanted to make something tasty, different and full of flavor with this tuna so I came up with the Tuna Caper Toast idea. I absolutely love capers and like to find new ways of using them. I liked the addition of the thin sliced red onion because it gave it a little crunch.
When I first made Tuna Caper Toast, I didn't think it would be something the kids would enjoy but to my surprise, they loved it! I packed it in their lunch for school the next day and they gobbled it up. I love finding different items for them to eat at school. I know they tire of the every day turkey sandwich I typically pack them. Now we have a new item for lunchtime and you can too! Try the recipe below!
