Last weekend we went on a San Diego Brunch Cruise on the Hornblower for my moms 60th birthday. My mom, grams and my mom-in-law all have birthday's within a few days of each other so it was a great way to celebrate all of their birthday's together. We had lots of different ideas to celebrate but finally settled on a brunch cruise because it included all the food, endless champagne and a cruise around the San Diego harbor. If you're looking to celebrate a special occasion, try out a brunch cruise!
We boarded the ship around 10:30AM on Sunday for a departure of 11AM. We stood in a short line to pick up our tickets then got right on to the boat. The kiddos loved seeing the captain right as we stepped onto the boat. We were greeted with champagne for the adults and sparkling cider for the kids.
We found our table for 13 and were introduced to our waitress who was ready with more champagne. The buffet was filled with options ranging from shrimp, to eggs Benedict and Mac n Cheese.
The girls loved that they could serve themselves. They went a little overboard and filled up a few plates but all in good fun! I’m sure you can imagine how exciting a whole table of desserts was too!
It turned out to be a great day for a cruise. It was a little chilly in the morning but the sun came out when we arrived.
The boat and the views were spectacular. We had a great time with the family and loved spending time together on the water.
My brother got all the kiddos captain hats and they seem so fitting. The little missy even wore hers to school on Monday!
The cruise leaves right off of harbor drive in downtown San Diego. There are 2 ports that Hornblower uses so you just have to check your confirmation for your departure address. We were right across from Waterfront Park. I love the Palm Tree views.
We had an awesome time on the Hornblower San Diego Brunch Cruise! Have you been? I’d love to check out their dinner cruise with a DJ. That sounds like a fun date night experience! Xo, Bri

Hi Bri! What a fun way to celebrate with your family! Our company holiday party was on a Hornblower boat so we've had dinner on them before. It makes for a unique experience with the mild rocking and views of the bay and all!
