Pacific Beach Fish Shop

I have been all about seafood lately and looking for good spots around San Diego to enjoy a tasty meal. Pacific Beach Fish Shop invited us over for a tasting and we found some unique and delicious seafood options. My absolute favorite dish of the night was the Fish Shop Shrimp. The kidlets, my mom and I had a fun time in PB for a midweek night out. I love taking a break from cooking while getting to try a new (to me) spot. The Fish Shop Shrimp is seasoned in house made seasoning, sauteed and served with a chipotle aioli dipping sauce and is OH SO YUMMY! These are a must try if you visit the PB Fish Shop.

The lobster lumpia, my friends, is also a must try. You can just tell by the name that it will be good. I love lumpia and this one is full of chunks of lobster, served with jasmine rice and sesame sweet chili dipping sauce.

The Fish Shop chowder comes with or without andouille sausage. It has a very mild flavor and is super creamy.

I loved the Fish Shop menu and coloring sheet for the kiddos. It has super cute sea life shapes to color in and they have a pretty solid kids menu. The options include a rice bowl, fish salad, popcorn shrimp, corndogs, grilled cheese, chicken fingers and they have a kids plate option which includes 2 sides. My kiddo got the fish and chips plate with veggies. The fish was amazing. She shared with her brother and I sneaked in a few bites. It is deep fried goodness.

The Fish Shop is know though, for their grilled fish which they do just as well as fried. The flavors are very fresh and the fish is thick cut. I'm not a huge fan of mango salsa but the Fish TKO was a hit.

We also tried the lobster, mahi and the scallop tacos. I loved the scallop tacos and my mom took over the lobster taco. Tacos are served with your choice of fresh fish, flour or corn tortilla, shredded cabbage, pico de gallo, mixed cheeses & house white sauce. They have an extensive menu with plenty of options for everyone.
