Seriously, how is my baby already 2?! I still call her baby but she is clearly a toddler and running towards being a kid. How long does the toddler age last? 3? 4? 10? Just kidding, but really time does fly by with a kiddo! We celebrated our little ladies' 2nd birthday with a Minnie Mouse Bowtique themed birthday party. The kiddos really loved the Bowtique Craft Table:
I tried to keep this year a little more simple since I felt like I spent so much time planning her first birthday party. The minnie mouse party seemed to turn out just as well but I didn't waste time stressing about it. I started brainstorming a few months prior as to what I thought she would like and at the time - Minnie Mouse was (and still is) the coolest ever. I thought a bowtique would be fun too. I picked up some hair accessories, foam pieces, stickers, gems and glue for the kids to play or craft with. The 4-5 year olds really loved it which made the 2 year olds love it too.
I seem to have forgotten to take a picture of the yummy cupcakes my mom made. They were super cute with pink polka dot cups and minnie mouse toppers. I quickly snapped some pics right before everyone showed up and must have missed the cupcakes! I made minnie mouse shaped rice crispie treats and set out easy to grab snacks: applesauce, pretzels and cheesy balls.
I found these awesome strawberry milk straws at Target. Yum!
The princesses of the party:
The little rascals of the party:
I made a few signs that matched her invitations to put around the house. The sign by the door simple said "This Way". The sign by the drinks said "We've got ears, say cheers!".
The kiddos having fun in the playhouse:
We used the Minnie Mouse Pumpkin we decorated for halloween for added decor:
Another shot of the dessert table:
The three tiered tray is actually yellow but I covered one plate with black duck tape (yeah), one plate with a polka dot napkin and one with bright pink wrapping paper. A few simple changes and it matched the theme. I made a tissue paper garland with this easy step by step pin from pinterest.
We had such a fun time at our kiddos' second birthday party. Thank you to all our friends and family who celebrated with us. Please share your photos of your little one's minnie mouse themed party!
