We've got your kid's next favorite lunch recipe! These Everything Ham and Cheese Sliders are so yum! Our kiddos are big fans of ham, who isn't?! But they didn't get overly excited when I told them about the slider idea until they got a taste of this yumminess. My favorite Everything but the Bagel seasoning really makes these sliders pop! I've been putting this seasoning on literally, everything! Read on and get your kiddos excited about cooking in the kitchen with this fun and easy recipe below!
How To Make Everything Ham And Cheese Sliders
First things first, set out all of your ingredients. The kids can help with this or you can set things out for them to get started. The best way to have fun with cooking with kids is to be comfortable yourself. I used brioche buns that I found at Aldi this week but you can also use Hawaiian rolls. Cut the buns in half so they are ready for toppings.
Next up, add slices of cheddar cheese and cooked ham. You can use thin sliced lunch meat or thick ham slices like we did here. Layer cheese, ham then cheese again. Put the slider tops back on then spread melted butter on top with your kitchen paintbrush. Sprinkle with Everything but the Bagel Seasoning then bake or toast till the cheese is melted.
Ready to Go Lunch Idea
Keep an eye on those sandwiches so they don't get burnt. You want them toasty but not charred. We served these Everything Ham and Cheese Sliders with dijon mustard and apple slices. These are great for an after school snack or to pack in their lunchboxes. I also love to make these if we are headed out for a yummy on-the-go lunch. This recipe is fairly simple for the kids but also teaches them a little bit about seasoning their food.
