Looking to try a new flavor and donut style? Check out Nomad Donuts in North Park for a sweet treat and a unique approach to handcrafted donuts. These little beauties are packed with flavor and amazingly beautiful. The kiddo and I were treated to a sampling to check out the new spot.
Their bold flavors are one of a kind. We tried the Key lime meringue, lemon custard raspberry lavender, sweet potato with brown butter sage and the strawberry kiwi. My absolute favorite was the key lime meringue. It was stuffed with key lime custard and topped with a sweet and airy meringue. They all had a unique flavor and were so fun to try. These are not your average donuts though. They are rich with a thicker dough and lots of love pored into each one.
They have a sweet coffee station with all different options from cold to hot and chai to Cubano con leche made with San Diego's Zumbar Coffee. They don't have decaf espresso so I had the decaf iced coffee. It hit the spot and went well with the flavorful donuts.
My kiddo loved the cherry vanilla donut and couldn't even wait to get outside before chowing down.
