As a San Diego born designer and foodie, I have had one great week. I have meet so many nice people and had some wonderful conversations. Since having my kiddo I really haven't done much networking or socializing in the evenings... until this week. Here is a little recap of my experiences.
Tuesday we had a morning playdate with my niece. Kyla and her cousin played with crayons, stickers and adventured down the princess slide while I talked shop with my bro and had some fun convos with my SIL. Later on we hung out at grandma and grandpas - so mommy could get some work done.
Tuesday evening was the first of 3 Advanced WordPress Workshops presented by AIGA San Diego and Downtown Rob. I have a pretty basic understanding of WordPress but since I am self taught I thought it would be good to catch up on what's new in the land of WordPress sites. I learned about adding contributors and working with quality plug-ins.
Wednesday we had music class at Java Mama with Miss Lori of Music Tots. Wednesday evening I started my adventure off at URBN in North Park for AIGA's New Member Soiree. I met some lovely people, had a delicious glass of wine and some incredibly tasty nibbles. (I will have to head back to URBN for more food) I couldn't stay long because of my next adventure but it was a very nice gathering for new members. I have been an AIGA member in the past but recently joined again to get involved with the design world again.

Next stop - Dishcrawl San Diego's Hillcrest edition. I was very happy to giveaway tickets to the event and to attend. It was a great foodie adventure and a full post review will be up next week.

I met some lovely ladies from San Diego Reader and DiningOut. One of the ladies from the Reader (Siobhan Braun) asked if I wouldn't mind being in her fashion blog. Of course I said - Yes! I could not believe I was being approached to be in a fashion blog... little did I know it was about my bangs! I was very excited to be a part of her article. And I am now on the front page of their website!
Thursday was another busy and exciting day. Kyla and I headed to Costco to do some much needed everyday essentials shopping. We stopped by Donut Touch for a Red Velvet Donut. I want another one. Now.

Thursday night was the San Diego Bloggers 2013 Kickoff Extravaganza! My best gal pal - @AngelaVelarde and I really enjoyed meeting other bloggers, marketers and foodies. We had a great time posting Instagram Photos and Tweeting away with our new friends. I even won a gift card to Uber! Sammy's hosted a great event with delicious food. A big thanks to @DowntownRob, Sammy's Woodfired Pizza, Svedka, Bare Mixers, Uber, DiningOutSD and all the awesome bloggers I met. #SDBloggers
I ended the evening with leftover Valentine's day chocolates with my hubby. I am looking forward to a mellow weekend. We will be celebrating our friends 5 year olds' birthday and I can't wait!
Oh! And I just realized from my google analytics that Modern Parents Messy Kids included our Grocery List and Meal Plan Printable on their blog 10 Tips for Better Meal Planning. Sweet!
Have a great weekend!
Enjoy, Bri
