You guys know I'm all about a good adventure but the only way I can make that possible is getting in plenty of downtime. Raising kids, running a business and living life in 2017 can be pretty hectic if I don't take time out for myself. I've partnered up with my friends over at Mixbook to share how I'm celebrating downtime during the holidays this year. One thing I've always enjoyed is to grab a cup of coffee, a good book and cozy up on the couch.
This year I'm so excited to have a whole set of photo books from the last 6 years. I completely filled these books with as many photos as I could so I could save as many memories as possible. Raising kids is crazy at times. As they say, the days are long but the years are fast. It's true some days and I just want to savor some of those moments. I love that I can just sit back and flip through a book to look through all of our photos.
The holidays can get even crazier with extra activities, shopping and celebrations but taking some downtime can really help. I've had to adjust my schedule to make room just for myself and it really helps me to stay calm during the busy seasons of life.
I typically take downtime in the evenings after the kiddos go to bed but now that they are getting a little older I'm learning to enjoy more time for myself while they are playing. Young kids can be very hands on - all the time. This holiday season, even when things seem crazy, grab a cup of coffee, a good book and cozy up on the couch for a little downtime. Just for you.

I can't believe Thanksgiving is already next week but I'm super excited to spend some days off with my family enjoying ALL of the food. Happy Thanksgiving, friends, and thanks for reading! xo - Bri
