October is here and I am so excited! I never loved October so much until I had kiddos. This month is so special for my girl because it is her birthday month + Halloween is just a few days after. How awesome is that for a kid?! October is just the beginning of fall and all the fun holidays to come next. Today, I'm sharing a really easy spooky Halloween Treat Bar idea that's super fun for the kiddos.
The little ones and I headed to Walmart to pick up all of our party supplies and recipe ingredients. Almost everything we purchased was only $1. No Joke. We picked up our Go-Paks!, Snack Pack® puddings and Reddi-Wip for the main ingredients for our treat bar and grabbed a few toppings along the way.
I wanted to create a halloween treat table that was fun for kiddos to create something but also just a little bit spooky for halloween. I grabbed a few skull decorations and a spiderweb tablecloth for added spook.
I set up the treat bar on the kids table so they could easily reach everything. I created a couple recipe ideas to show the kids 2 examples of what they could make with the toppings. I made a chocolate OREO dirt cup with worms + a vanilla caramel peanut butter cookie cup. Then I set out all of the toppings so they could pick what they wanted.
Chocolate OREO Dirt Cup
1 OREO Go-Paks!
2 Chocolate Snack Pack Pudding Cups
Reddi-whip
Gummy Worms
Pour out half of the OREO cookies into another dish, fill Go-Packs! cup with pudding, add cookies back on top of the pudding, top with Reddi-wip and gummy worms.
Vanilla Caramel Peanut Butter Cookie Cup
1 Mini Nilla Wafers Go-Paks!
2 Vanilla Snack Pack Pudding Cups
Reddi-whip
Caramel Sauce
Mini Peanut Butter Cups
Pour out half of the Nilla Wafer cookies (set aside a few for topping) into another dish, fill Go-Packs! cup with pudding, add cookies back on top of the pudding, top with Reddi-wip, caramel sauce, mini peanut butter cups and a few cookies.
I really thought I was going to like the dirt cup treat the most but after tasting them both I LOVED the caramel mixed with the Nilla Wafers, vanilla pudding and Reddi-whip. They are both delicious and such a fun treat for Halloween!
These treats are pretty big so I made a smaller version for the younger kids. I found black and orange little shot glasses and filled them with the same ingredients. I started with a Nilla Wafer, a little caramel, vanilla pudding and topped them with the Reddy-whip, mini chocolate chips and these super fun skull candies.
This spooky Halloween treat bar is such a fun thing to set up for the kiddos while they're at school. Bring them home to this during the week or two before halloween and it will be such a fun surprise!
I'd love to see your creations. Tag @BriGeeski in your next halloween party photos and I'll reshare! xo, Bri
