We love to have this recipe available for days we want to be creative but don't have a lot of time. These are super easy and quick to make. You only need a few ingredients and can still have fresh tasting homemade cookies.
What are the ingredients?
For these easy Christmas Cookies, you just need store bought cookie dough and flour to make easy cut out cookies! You're going to want to add the flour so the cookies don't spread out after cutting with cookie cutters.
- Store bought sugar cookie dough
- Flour
- Sprinkles
- Frosting
- M&Ms, Candies, Chocolate Chips for decorating
How to Make Christmas Cookie Cut Outs?
Add half of the flour to a surface. I use parchment paper for easy clean up. Next add the dough and remaining flour. Use a rolling pins or your hands to start blending the flour into the dough. There will be extra flour left to use on the rolling pin and to keep the surface floured.
Use the rolling pin to roll out the dough into ¼ inch thick. Use cookie cutters to create shapes. Repeat until all dough is used.
Then, bake the cookies for 11-14 minutes. Using a butter knife, spread frosting on each cookie and decorate with toppings.
