Have you ever had Philadelphia rolls? They are a big fan favorite for the kiddos. We are sharing how we make our Philly Rolls with the kids today! I love this dish as an after school snack or a meal on it's own. It's packed with nutrients and the kids go crazy for these. They are also really fun to make. Philly rolls only have 5 ingredients and can be enjoyed within 10 minutes! Grab the full recipe below!
How to Make Philly Rolls
First, slice cucumber into sticks, then cut lengthwise in half until you have ¼ inch sticks. Then, lay out a sheet of seaweed onto a bamboo sushi mat or a cutting board. If you don't have a bamboo mat, you could also use plastic wrap. Then, press ¼ cup of cooked white rice into a sheet of seaweed. If it get's too sticky, you can wet your fingers. The kids love this part!
Then add cream cheese, salmon and cucumber to the middle of the rice topped seaweed. You'll want to make sure the ingredients are evenly laid out in the middle from left to right.
Then roll from the bottom up with your bamboo sushi mat or use your fingers to tightly roll until the edges of the seaweed meet.
Lastly, slice into ½ inch pieces and repeat for remaining rolls. Not all kids love sushi but this is a great one to get them started on since it has familiar foods. It's still one of my favorites! I hope you all enjoy these tasty Philly Rolls! xo, Bri
